For some odd reason, I had to go back and read this again today. I still feel the same things you express in this post when I go to her condo. I take my shoes off at the door, because that’s what she expected, even though I know she’s gone. I look around and think about how proud she was of her condo. Her home was with you. That’s where she was truly happy.

She lived. She laughed. She loved. She lives on in us.

I just posted.. Are you familiar with Misty Edwards worship? She is with Forerunner Music in Kansas City (International House of Prayer). She has a song on her Eternity CD called ONLY A SHADOW that has blessed me greatly. That’s how I found your blog. In fact the latest post on my blog is called “It’s only a shadow”. It’s a simple but powerful revelation if you want to check it out. I am just learning there is an old hymn with the same name. Are you familiar with it? I’d love to get a copy of the words if you know of it.

I couldn’t agree with you more. I don’t know where you live, but I’m from Atlanta and can hook you up with some real outreach experiences. We go out into the streets of Atlanta every week and love on the last, the lost and the least. You’d be surprised how many of them have talent and were raised in the church but have gotten “caught up” in the world and addiction. We have various people bring guitars, harmonicas or even without instruments we worship God with our friends in the street. They usually bless us more than we bless them.
I thank God for your heart for true worship that I discern through your post, and also your desire to reach those that do not yet know Him.
